Hello everyone, feels like years since I've been here, but here goes. I am an avid practicioner of the anti-estrogenic diet, but fear I came along alittle too late. I began in Jan 01, 08 with the anti-estrogenic program, absolutely love it, was feeling better and lost 26 lbs. to boot. To shorten things up, I am now recovering from a total abdominal hysterectomy and removal of both ovaries and tubes as well, after finding a large complex growth on my ovary by ultrasound (while investigating symptoms). I also had complications with my uterus (not fibroids though) that caused painful heavy periods for past 2yrs (now enemic at 8.5). Sorry for such morbid detail, but feel it's needed at this point. I think this is all a direct result of estrogen overload through out my life, and am so sorry I didn't have the anti-estrogenic diet earlier (I am 51 now). So, now I plan to continue eating the way I was on this program, but, considering I have surgically lost my most influencial source of hormone proliferation, I'm not sure what to do in the way of "anti-estrogen" eating or supplements. I do realize I should detox from all the chemicals from surgery etc. but don't think trying to wipe out more estrogen at this point is a major goal. (I am hoping the remaining fat and estrogen contained there-in will slowly dissappear, helping a gradual decline of hormones) Any way, I could use some sage advice on how to procede while doing the best to encourage the best hormonal balance that I can. I am not taking any replacements at this time (surgery two weeks ago on Thursday) and waiting to see what will happen. I did, by the way, have increadible healing and recovery - amazing MD's and nurses alike, which I firmly credit to the 3 months of wonderful eating and detox/supplements that I followed on the plan.  Thanks, for your help, Betsy.
