Hey all,
I've been on the WD for a week now. Before, I was doing the whole 5-6 meals a day. While I have no desire to lose weight (I'm 20, 5'9, 144lbs., low body fat in the single digits), I accidentally stumbled on the WD and it all made so much sense that I couldn't resist trying it. Anyways-
Most of the days of the week, I do will do strength training, explosive training, CrossFit - whatever I feel like for the day. And, randomly, I'll go run a few miles. Since I've been on the WD, I usually ingest 2 small protein sources throughout the day (shake, can of tuna, cottage cheese) making sure to eat it in plenty of time before the workout to counter any possible catabolic events happening. I do the workout later in the day so I can eat my one meal soon after, using the one meal as the Post-workout meal. I eat plenty of carbs, too, to refill glycogen stores for the next day's activities.
My goals are to increase strength and overall fitness. While mass isn't a main concern of mine, gaining some never hurt ^^
Just to get some feedback, is what I'm doing seem okay? I browsed through the forums and many people seem to train 2-3 times a week, but I'm usually training around 5 times a week. I did the same volume of training when I was eating throughout the day, but the WD is much different than what I was doing. I know my energy levels haven't suffered - quite the contrary and have done what Ori said it would do - I was practically bouncing off the walls at the gym the other day.
So, is what I'm doing fien for my goals? Thanks for your time!
