Hi,

now that phase 3 is coming soon for me, I'm thinking about how to reintroduce my favourite foods.

I think it will be  pasta and potatoes in the first week, then bread and finally meat. As the AED book says 1 item reintroduced at the same time, ist also says, restrict on 1 - 3 items per meal.

So, can I have meat and pasta - just like spaghetti bolognese - after having reintroduced both items on different days before?

Just having read some threads on peanuts, is peanut paste on rice crackers a nono or an allowed treat from tome to time (I've stopped eating it, because of being very tangled about the different comments).

How does the AED run in the long-term? Is it phase 3 forever - meaning to have three days a week of eating favourite foods and the other days carbs or nuts and cabbage and beans?

And what about fatty fish and carbs, i. e. is salmon on rice allowed in phase 3?
I think, even after reading the instructions in the book more than 10 times I really don't understand how to use high fat nutritions. If it's veggie such as avocado, it is ok to have it on detox days, but if it's fatty fish, then I have to combine it with nuts and seeds and may not eat some rice? But on the other hand you have the recommended ethnic dishes and fatty fish with rice is one, isn't it?

I go on a holiday to the baltic sea over easter and usually we have fresh (smoked) fatty fish there the whole day. Does that mean, I mustn't eat any grains like pasta bread or potatoes with it, if I want to stay on AED?

And a last question: am I condemned to eat beans and cabbage daily? Although they are healthy, after three weeks I feel the broccoli growing out of my ears.

So I hope your answer is: go on the WD for your daily routine (I will, because I feel much better with one big meal and think I can live without protein during the day, if necessary) and include  some detox days and high fat days following AED for preventing  excess estrogen.

Looking forward for your answers.

I am only briefly responding here, but in my opipion, a holiday is just that...a holiday. If you want to loosen up on your diet, that would be a good time to do it. With that said, it is quite easy to eat well, while still eating tasty foods. As for salmon, it is a great food. You can eat it during any phase of the AED.
