Here in Tennessee we are able to buy milk in glass containers at whole foods market.  I do not know if they have these everywhere or not. Milk is minimally pastuerized and non-homoginized.

Is it bad to buy raw milk in plastic gallon jugs and then transfer it into the glass?  Won't the milk get any petroleum(or whatever is in the plastic- maybe someone can expound why it's bad) just from being in the plastic for the short time it was?

Please advise.  Thanks

Glass is better but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it being in plastic for a short time. Go buy it in plastic, take it home, store it in glass. I don't think it would be that big of a deal.
