My Progress Begins

I learned about the warrior diet about three weeks ago from the May issue of Muscle & Fitness. I was skeptical at the basis of the diet and the ideas of it. However, for some reason I was intrigued. I wanted to learn more. I bought Ori's book this past Monday, May 2nd. I read it immediately. I was half way through the book by the end of the night. I started the diet the next day. I began the diet at 166 pounds. Im about 5' 10''. I'm looking to gain strength and become more lean. I stopped eating meals and carbohydrates through out the day cold turkey. So far the energy levels and mental clarity I have gained is unbelievable. Though my family isn't being supportive about this diet, I believe that this is the way we are supposed to live. Ori is on to something incredible. I plan on adapting this as my way of life. I know I am only 3 days in, but I've never been so influenced or invigorated. Im going into the Marines this next Fall. So this is how I will live until I am forced to do something different.

Vici, as a Marine you will be forced to adapt to all scenarios, and you will eat accordingly to when you are told to eat. When you graduate bootcamp, remember to feed that warrior inside of you. Do not sacrifice food for the sake of detoxing if you are an extremely active Marine. My advice for you: Eat plenty of vegetables, fruit, drink lots of water, and after your workouts, eat eat eat!

Fourth day in, and I am still in love with it. I have herds of people waiting to read the book. Unfortunately for those people
The Warrior Diet
has been like my bible and it rarely leaves my presence. THough I have ordered a second copy for others to read. One of my good friends has even started following the principles of the Warrior Diet as well. I'm going through it a second time, this time with a highlighter. It's been hard marking up something so beautiful. I was 165 pounds after the meal last night. (I made a homemade turkey broth using a turkey carcass, then added a bunch of vegetable, and then even more meat, to make one hell of a stew). I can honestly say this change in my life, though it has been recent, is letting me find something inside of me that I have been missing for awhile. Each day has a new meaning, and even more to look forward to.
Maxnavo86, thank you for the reply. I know I will be forced to adapt to many different scenarios, and I am looking forward to it (though nervous as well). Your advice is helpful and like I said, thank you for the reply. Let us keep on being a warrior.

Hi Vici!
It's been 4 weeks since I started the WD. The first week I was just like you: energized as hell and feeling great, spreading the new, etc. Week #2 was a hard time though. I kept thinking about food, I was hungry as hell during the day so problems with concentration. Thereafter, mood is great, sleep is awesome, bodyfat is starting to come off, energy level is back to a higher state.
So, just want you to know that you may go through a hard time soon. Don't let your mind (psychological hunger?) disrupt you from the diet!
Congrats for making the Marines force! Take care of you and your pals there.

Day 7
Day 7 of the Warrior Diet and all is going well. I have no hunger during the day. Though I haven't been feeling the energy or focus I was experiencing the first few days, I definantly am still enjoying the life style. And that is not to say that I am not experiencing more energy or focus than I was prior to the Warrior Diet. Because I definitely am. Enjoyed a large chuck roast last night. Its definitly the great meals at the end of the day that makes the Controlled Fasting easier every day.
bigpelo, I appreciate the heads up and hopefully I can avoid the slump. I am also grateful for your words of congratulations as I head into the Marines. I will do my best to take care of everyone.

Vici, if you find time, please post a day's routine. It could be today's or tomorrow's. I'm just curious to see yours.

Cool. I started on Sunday and have lost 5 pounds and 2 inches this week and I'm stuffing myself at night. What a great way to eat.
