Great tip on organic almonds

I forgot to add that the reason there are lower prices on these almonds is because there is no middle man.  You order direct from the grower.  Right now, you can get 10 lbs of almonds for $59.00 and shipping is FREE!!

Thanks Cheryl that was a great find. D & S is a reputable farming company in Selma (near Fresno, CA). Be sure everyone to click on "Latest Specials" to see the $5.99 / pound price (it's because they are not vacuum packed - the vacuum packed stuff is around $11.50 / pound).

It might be of interest to folks to see why they are not pasteurizing their almonds. Check out the FAQ tab, which has no direct address link so I can't put it in here but when you click on latest specials you will see the FAQ in the left lower panel. Everyone should read about the differnce in IPM and Organic. IPM is what I specialize in and that is what I try to take my clients into so that those who are not or cannot go organic can at least be making more responsible farming choices (which, incidentally, bring higher profits to all my customers). So it's a win-win for the environment, farmer, and consumer.
