Do I have this correct? If I finish overeating at 8pm then I do not eat anything except for raw veggies/fruit, drink water/tea until at least 12 noon which would be 16hrs or as late s 2pm which would be 18hrs (which I prefer) and then I can eat as much as I want between 2pm - 8pm (I have been having one small afternoon meal and then a large meal around 7pm).
I do feel 100% better on this diet and have lost 3lbs first week but have not started to work out yet. I am only 25lbs : ) overweight at this point at 5 9" and 185 (medium muscular frame) at 160lb and muscle I would very happy. I haven't seen that since college. I am 47 and have to get in to killer shape by Sept!

Someone mentioned adding in digestion time (8hrs) to the 16-18hrs, could that be accurate?

Thanks
PS I am hoping I can keep my eating times consistent each day and not have them vary.

16-18 from the moment you wake up. Sleep is not counted.

Dano3000:
Has something changed since the first printing of this book? I've had it 10 years.
Page 16 clearly states " undereating phase last for 16-18 hrs after your last meal, including time you are asleep....
I wake every day at 6 am according to your advice I would be eating at 10pm (when I go to bed) every night?
Thanks,
Matt

The 16-18 is the maximum limit of time, not the recommended time.
Unless you fall asleep with the last bite still in your mouth, I highly doubt one would wake up with undigested food.
Ori recommends at least 10 hours after you wake up for the "controlled fasting" phase to be effective. Whats easier is to pick a dinner time that will let you sleep well and stick to it. For example, if I eat at six, I will eat at six, every day.

Dano3000:

Thanks again for the info. Minimum of 10 hrs after I wake would work well for me. We eat at 6pm so if I wake at 6am I will have 12 hours of controlled fasting until then. On my second week let's see what happens the next few weeks. Already my sinuses are clearer and I am not in a fog all day as I have been for as long as I can remember. I did my first work out yesterday and felt great all the way through. My brother is probably almost 200lbs overweight (where I am only 30lbs. over) and I am getting him on the anti-estrogenic diet. Having him watch all of Ori's videos on youtube.

Thanks Again,
Matt
