Triglycerides test

My wife and I have been on the AED for 5 months now. She recently had her blood test done for some insurance. Everything came back normal except the triglycerides, which came back at 52 when the range for her age sex etc was 74-172 mg. That's not much lower, but it was something I wanted to ask about. Usually HIGH Trig. is what you worry about. She is still about 40 pounds overweight (but has lost 30 pounds so far! - that's not including about 25 pounds of birthweight before starting the diet), has had 3 children the most recent of which 6 months ago, is 30 years old, has had a low thyroid for quite some time (7 years since she found out) and has been on Levoxyl medicine. I'm wondering if now on this diet her thyroid has stabilized and the medicine (which elevates thyroid function) is not needed, i.e. a side-effect I saw online was that low Trig. levels can be attributed to a hyper thyroid. She has not been tested by her doctor since starting this diet. (I know, we need to get that done before any real assessment can be made). I'm also wondering if she is not eating enough fats. She does a phase 2 type meal probably once a week and the rest is detox (the occasional phase 3 for reward, though). But she takes in plenty of dairy which has some fats to so I really doubt she's not getting enough fats (but I may be wrong???)
I searched the forum and I couldn't find anything specific to this. I'm going to double check the book but I don't remember anything specific to this (just about the opposite - high Trig).
Anyone who has some good info to pass along it will be appreciated.

Jerel, not totally sure what to tell you about the triglycerides, except that you might be right. She may actually need to add a bit more good fat to her diet. That actually sounds like a good problem to have. Let me know what you find out.
