The Diet and eating junk...?

So, real life is ... different than eating WD all the time. There are birthdays, anniversaries, and times when you just want to sit back, put up your feet, and eat whatever you feel like (consequently feeling like poo-poo for two days).
So, these following questions are for the consistent WD/AED Dieters out there:
How often do you eat junk and veer off the Diet? How often
can
you and still have the Diet and its positive effects stay strong?
I know everyone is different, and everyone reacts differently, but I wanted to get some kind of consensus.
And this question goes out to those who are on WD and have gotten in amazing shape, with ultra low body-fat and a great toned physique: How often do you find yourself able to veer of the Diet and still maintain fat-loss and muscle definition? (And what type of physical exercise do you couple with WD?)
I'm thinking, with knowing my body and how it reacts, that I would maybe veer off the Diet twice a month, around every two weeks (if I can plan it) ... and I'd still stick with the daily under-eating phase and only veer off at night. I think if I could do this or less, I can still maintain the WD Diet's effects and keep my body running in an ultra-healthy way...
Thoughts?
Anyhow:
Any feedback would be great?
Thanks!

My best advice is to listen to your body. I can eat junk at night and it doesn't affect my body shape, in that I don't gain weight or anything, however many times I truly feel like crap the next day. Nevertheless, if you're mixing it up with detox days, I think your body can handle it just fine. On the other hand, if you don't mix in the detox days, I think over time you'll end up back where you started. I will say this - I started the WD a few years ago. While practicing the WD principles of eating, I still ate a pint of Ben & Jerry's EVERY night with a glass of milk before bed. I still lost almost 30 lbs in 6 months. Now, don't get me wrong - I'm NOT advocating that you do this. I'm just saying that the diet was that effective for me. And, now and again, I've been known to stray, but honestly, even if I eat a bit of crap at night, I never stray from the undereating/detoxification process during the day.

DN Moderator,
Once again, just curious, when you ate Ben and Jerry's while doing the WD, what type of fuel were you predominantly consuming in yout overeating, evening meal, what your main meal high carbs, low fat or vice-versa, or perhaps a combination of both?

At the time, and I'm not saying that this is correct, just stating what I did, but I usually ate either a carb fuel type meal or a fat fuel type meal - one or the other. And I didn't eat Ben & Jerry's right after my main meal, but usually waited about 2 to 3 hours thereafter.

In the past,i too did something similar to you. I ate my main meal and then followed it up a few hours later with one litre of ice cream or something similar. This way i gave my stomach a chance to digest the main meal. That was when i was initially adjusting to the WD years ago, but now i pretty much avoid sweet things, except for some honey, real dark chocolate, and of course fruit. I did, however, have some ice cream over the holidays, and boy was it good. It's nice as a treat every once and while i suppose.
Speaking of ice cream, i once heard that Billy Idol consumes nothing but Hagendaz ice cream and Guinness. He actually stated that on a television programme.

In my brief experience with the WD, one advantage has been my declining interest in junk food. At night I tend to gravitate toward healthier alternatives. And after a day of raw fruit and veg, a snack of sunflower seeds and raisins tastes like cookies and ice cream.

I'd have to disagree about sunflower seeds and raisins tasting like cookies and ice cream. I think you're probably purposely exaggerating but they do taste pretty good. Now some Ben and Jerry's vanilla topped with some crumbled Oreo cookies and some hot fudge--now we're getting into cookies and ice cream territory. But I just don't have the cravings for that sort of thing that I once did. But I sure used to enjoy stuff like that. Now it's sunflower seeds, and raisins like you said.

I'm a big fan of ice cream, but have recently started taking a liking to frozen yogurts. Some are nearly as good as their ice cream counterparts.

Unfortunately I've had more deviations at night that I would've liked but like MOD said if you keep up with your detox it doesn't seem to affect me negatively. Except I get really hungry the next day. Sometimes I won't gain any weight and still might lose 1/2 lb that day from the goodies. And luckily it doesn't make me feel like poo! In the first weeks I made the mistake of having baked kettle chips, I was having a fit for some salt. It gave me the worst headache and stomach cramps.Needless to say I don't crave those too much anymore, now I found orgainic salsa chips that I grab in one of those moments of weakness and it doesn't effect me.
Give this a try, frozen strawberries and frozen bananas with a shot of organic cream processed in the food processor. It could keep you away from the ice cream. And if you like it alot sweeter, use riper bananas or a squeeze of agave nectar. Mango, pineapple, banana & coconut is great too.
