Can I still expect to lose the up to 8 pounds per week with only taking the Milk Thistle and not the other supplements?  I cannot afford them right now, but want to get started.  Also, will excercise (running) speed up weight loss in Phase 1?

Cheri, keep in mind that the First article did take some liberties when the published that Milk Thistle was some sort of "wonder" herb.  While I believe milk thistle to be a good liver detoxifier, I cannot promise that taking it alone will really do anything to enhance weight loss.  However, I can tell you that even if you do not do the supplements, but follow the diet as stated in the book, you should have good results.
