What do you think of eating banannas during the underating phase? Are they too gylcemic? Man I love banannas but I was told they are no good for fat loss.

Also, who uses wheat germ oil? I am sensitive to wheat and gluten but I heard this is a superfood for body building. Don't know if it will work with the WD/ AE diet and fat loss.

I've written at length about bananas else where so i don't feel like commenting on that matter at the present time. As far as wheatgerm goes, yes, it was used by many bodybuilders back in the day. I've never used it, but will probably do so in the near future. It is a great source of fat and vitamin E, a very important vitamin, as well as other important nutrients. Lastly, be sure to get the oil, rather than capsule form, because you never know how long those oil-type products have been sitting on the shelf. Also, wheatgerm oil is relatively cheap.  I cannot recall from memory, but i think wheatgerm oil is best taken on an empty stomach on its own.

Pete, I concur.  I'd also add quickly, that bananas do tend to be more on glycemic side of things, but if you are exercising during the day, having a banana won't hurt, but can be part of your recovery meal, as long as you're getting a good protein along with it.  At any rate, save the higher glycemic fruits for a bit later in the diet, after you've detoxified your body and have already accelerated the fat loss.  Just remember to try different things and see how they work for you.  If you stick to what's listed in the book, you'll have the best success.
