 Smiley

Hello Everyone!

I seen the article in First for Women that listed all of the Estogen Dominant signs which I had them all! It then prompted me to puchse the book! I can tell you I have been on every diet out there and lost some weight but then gain it all back and then some! I have been also using all organic foods in my diet Ori's Book is really interesting!

I want this to work just wondering if any one out there lost any weight on P1?

Thank's for your time!

My maja, hah absolutely, and i can almost garantee that you or anyone else can too! Just stick to the absolute basics than begin to take notice of how your body feels to help improve your "AED" dieting habits!

I lost 13 lbs. in the first 3 weeks - it came off quickly then slowed down.  I think it slowed because I haven't been getting in as many workouts or as intense as they should be.  I'm going to continue to keep the faith and keep taking my anti-estrogenic supplements, undereat throughout the day as directed, avoid all the no-no foods and drinks and increase the exercise and see what happens.  I'm taking a strength training class and it started out slowly but is now increasing in difficulty, thank goodness.  I need to increase the interval training workouts more often throughout the week.  Hopefully, if I just stay with it, I'll get off this plateau I'm stuck on.  If anyone has any suggestions on the plateau problem, I'd love to hear them.

If you want to accelerate your weight loss, of course exercise will help.  Also, doing several detox days a week will also enhance the process.

My wife and I (she was highly estrogen-symptomatic and I was only slightly so) both lost a lot of weight in the first month. We did 2 weeks of detox then a week of phase 2, and did lot's of detox during phase 3 and thereafter. We've been on it now for about 7 weeks, I've lost 12 pounds and my wife lost 10 pounds. I'm done loosing weight and am in the muscle mass building phase, my wife is still in the losing weight phase and does lots of detox.

But this diet isn't just about loosing weight. For both of us it was about getting healthier, back in balance. I actually have bad allergies and have been on immunotherapy for over a year. My allergies significantly got better after the first month. I also have noticed foods that I am allergic too with this diet. And, I am in control and that is a great feeling.

And it's not just about food too; there are a lot of cosmetics and other products loaded with estrogenic compounds - I was shocked that all our shampoos, conditioners, lotions, creams, etc, all have parabens in them and parabens are toxic and xenoestrogenic.

There is no doubt that this diet has made us feel better and be healthier, not just "lose weight". And that is what makes this diet the best around. I have told all my friends and family about it. For example, there was one lady at our church who told me that I looked the most relaxed and at peace that she's ever seen me. It wasn't "look how much weight you've lost" (which I did hear), but it was "you look and act different - healthier". And that is where this diet shines.

Yes, that's what I like to hear!  Keep it positive guys - everyone needs encouragement.  Also, keep in mind that we've got a lot of newbies who have joined to learn and share more about the AEDiet, as they're trying to lose weight.  I'd appreciate all of you seasoned people cheering them on and adding your experience and insight into the equation.

Thank's to all that has replied!

I purchased the book and just finished it this week-end!

I find it very easy to understand and also very interesting reading material.

I will start officailly on Monday, and will keep every one posted of my progress.

Me and my fiance will be doing the AED together.

Thank you all again!

I have the book now and am going to teach my husband this way as well, he is always a sceptic with diets so he doesn't try anything. His biggest problem is IBS, it makes things very difficult for him (and me lol).

What I'd like to know is, for those who have lost weight, how do you measure you're weight loss? Are you measuring or just using scales?

Are those tanita weight scales any good? Would they be accurate?

Butternut,

Have you gotten your husband on a good dose of daily probiotics yet?  Some with IBS/Crone's have had success w/ probiotics.

Actually he's tried but he didn't stay on it long enough to find out  Roll Eyes  I'm going back to my chiropractor tomorrow to get some more, so I can use it during the phase 1 and help him with it too.

Thank you for the link.  Another question... are there any gastric by-pass patients on this eating plan?  If so, how has worked for them - I had my gastric by-pass two years ago and am on a major platue for a about 8 months now.
