Defense Nutrition: Since practicing the Warrior Diet now since January 2010, I have notice that I am more energetic than before. Before I started the Warrior Diet (to me, the Warrior Lifestyle) I was already in very good condition, having been a Division 1 athlete in football and having participated in amateur boxing. When I discovered Hofmekler's theory, which is to basically detoxify the body during the day, consume wholesome foods and try at best to avoid the poisons that are inserted into our diets, I was immediately engaged. Having read the Warrior Diet changed my approach to nutrition, and since practicing--as already stated--I am more energetic, but more importantly I am in harmony with my body: I feel the spirit of the warrior and not the scavenger. Thank you Mr. Hofmekler and the entire warrior team.

On a side note: I recently purchased the Defense Nutrition Warrior Whey Plain and I do not know what the appropriate amount per serving is. After I exercise with my kettlebells, or perform some Olympic style lifts, I have a cup of water with one scoop of whey (which is, I think, 20g), then thirty minutes later a bowl of oatmeal and one poached fetrile egg. My question: Is the one scoop of warrior whey plain enough to feed my protein intake after my workout, followed by one egg? I am 6' 200lbs if you are curious.

Hey Fellow warrior, I dont use the WD products specifically but I take about a scoop and a half of whey post workout (30g of protein) I now also add about 20 grams of carbs in the form of dextrose powder ...this increases the absorption rate of the protein too...you are a bit bigger than me so you may even benefit from a full 40 grams of protein post workout in the form of whey...remember the 2 hr. window approx. that we have after heavy exercise when our bodies will soak up protein and other nutrients like a sponge....take full advantage of this time...your muscles will thanks you later.

Well, I am not surprised to learn that you have indeed got energetic thanks to the warrior diet because to be honest, everybody who adapts themselves to the warrior lifestyle obviously has mind blowing results both intellectually as well as physically. Anyway, just do not forget to have the warrior diet adequately as any kind of errors can really destabilize the whole system! Anyway, are you sure that one serving of whey protein has 20 grams?

The one scoop of whey is 16grams. It has been a year since my initial post, and I usually take one scoop of whey with 1 cup of raw milk. Another 30minutes later another scoop of whey with water and honey. Then I usually eat my main meal.

I'm 15 and last summer I tried to lose weight. Well I did but I gained it back because after school when I get home I eat chips. XD So anyway. What I did was, I avoided bread and rice and other foods like that 'cause I hear they can cause fat even if they're healthy. And then try doing other kinds of exercise. I did 40 mins. of exercise 4x a week including using the jump rope, using my aunt's elliptical trainer, dancing, doing sit ups & stuff. So like in 40 minutes I get to do a whole lot of different kinds of exercise. And drink lots of water. Like if you're hungry, but it isn't exactly time for breakfast lunch or dinner yet, just drink a whole lot of water. Your belly might get big from drinking that much, but once you pee, it all comes out. You don't gain fat from water, I think.

So that was what I did. I didn't really measure my weight tho, because what I was aiming for was a smaller waistline, and I was able to do so. I think I lost like 4-5 inches in like a month & a half. I was happy with that. Too bad I have to do it all over again because I gained it back when school started again. XD Also keep a tally of your weight for every two weeks. And you can see if it works or not.

Good luck! Smiley Hope I helped.

For your level of activity and body weight you should use 2-3 scoops of warrior whey plain (no sugar added) after your work out and another serving (2 scoops) an hour later.
