hello i am new to the warrior diet and have read the book and follow every principle there is to it. just one question about taking prescription drugs on the diet and while also taking the supplements such as the vitamins minerals, amla C, recovery and detox kit.

every morning upon waking up i take the detox kit supplements with water 30min before i consume half a grapefruit while sticking to the undereating phase of the warrior diet. not to mention that i am a college student and i am prescribed ridillin to concentrate during class for my ADD. i take this prescription every morning.  the detox kit recommends not to take prescription drugs while taking the supplements and i am reluctant to following this rule.  i have not noticed any side effects to combining the both. i take my prescription after my morning snack. is it important to not take prescriptions while taking the warrior supplements and following the diet? any objections or suggestions would be greatly appreciated and considered.

thanks
Dave

thanks for viewing my concern. we all know that prescription drugs in most cases are not the safest way to treat certain symptoms.  though i do like the added contrentration levels i sometimes feel when i take ADD/ADHD medication, i have found that the undereating phase makes me feel calm and collected as well as focused and energized, even if i do not take my prescription. i am no longer taking ADD/ADHD medication for class do to the great benefits of the warrior diet.  ADD/ADHD medication stimulates the central nervous system to trigger feelings of alertness and concentration that have helped me study and focus in class very well.  the warrior diet has helped me do the same thing without the medication.

thanks,
Dave

I was on a whole slew of meds before I hit puberty. Specifically, almost everything for ADHD and almost everything for depression. The result?
Estrogen levels so high I didn't reach puberty until 16, when I got sick of having a huge chest and went to an endo who gave me an estrogen blocker.
I seem to get the worst out of every drug, though. Except tobacco, alcohol, and certain psychedelics, ha.

Well, what I would like to suggest you is to continue the same way as you do now. If the combination of both prescription drugs and warrior diet does not seem to leave any kind of adverse effect on you, then I do not think that there is any need for you to worry. My advice is to continue with what you are doing right now and gradually you can skip the prescription drugs! IMAO!
