The Warrior diet works great for me duing my usual workday - awake, work out - protien/oats - work - another protein and some fruit/veg - go home - overeat.

DO I ned to consume more during protracted activity during the day when skiing?  If so, what should I be eating? Huh

Thanks.

I'm an avid alpine snowboarder and I get a full day's run on the slopes almost every weekend in the winter.  To be honest, there's no need to consume anything during the day while you're out there.  Just as long as you make up for the exercise and the extra calories burned in the cold in your evening overeating phase.  Depending on how I feel, I sometimes go in at lunch and have some warrior milk or some fruit, but usually I stay out and get some solid runs in while the mountain is empty because all the other suckers are in that crowded lodge cafeteria eating a $12 dollar mini burger and downing an $8 vitamin water.

See how you feel throughout the day and experiment a little with skiing through lunch, having a protein shake, or just eating some fruit/vegetables.  Just be sure to eat enough fuel the night before you hit the slopes and enough when you get home after a long day.

I ski 3-4 days a week and on at least one of those ski days I incorporate a 45 minute hike or 2 15 minute hikes. I find that using the strategy that relates to working as helpful. A couple of hardboilded eggs and/or trailmix (that you make yourself of dried fruit-nuts seperate) can work well if you break it up throughout the day.

I don't ski at all but i know for fueling the body i always like to do what Geronimo8201 does and just make sure you eat enough the night before i'm an union electrician and on days where we're gettin it, like 10 hour days pulling miles of wire and then i go home and do some CFT i  noticed once i started the high fat low carb meals at night, it works great, i can tell that the almonds not only provide the fat fuel but also the hormone fuel you need when you've been maxing it out day after day, but just expeirment, maybe the night before your skiing days load up on the fat fuels for dinner almonds, pumpkin seeds, peanut butter, cheese, whatever you desire but don't eat any carbs and overload on the natural nuts, raw, and make sure you eat plenty of vege's that night to help break down the high fat meal.

Also I like Geronimo8201 mindset by thinking to hit the slopes up while all the other suckers are eating!!  It sounds like you like to hit it deep and hard when your fasting, i think its awesome for the mind and body to function when you make it work for it, good luck guys, just like Ori say's "Take no prisoners"
