Hi, I'm considering starting the WD, I just had some questions regarding timing. I work second shift 4pm-1am so I'm not home to make a nice big meal for myself in the evening. Also, because of my schedule, the only time I can do my workout is around noon. Is there a way to work around a difficult schedule like this?

Just FYI, I'm 20 years old (soon to be 21), 5'9", 135 lb, as skinny as they come ;-). I plan to go on the warrior diet not because I need to lose weight, but because I want to be healthy and help my body reach it's ideal weight whether that be what I weigh now or maybe gain a few pounds. I am following Pavel's Power to the People program to help build strength.

Any advice even non-related to my question would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Jared

The exact time of the main meal only matters in that it should be at the end of your day. Whether that be at 10pm or 8am, as long as its one of the last things you do, you should be good.

Yeah, but if he starts to ingest a huge meal at 1am or later, good luck with heaving a good night...

You will be up till 3 or even later, do you think that's healthy for the body (which is the reason you want to start it, right?)

This is just another example of making life more complicated than it needs to be just to fit in the WD.

I'd suggest you to try 1 or 2 IF days with real fasts (undereating is not really fasting, so who knows if you get the same benefits as when doing IF?) every week

Haha word Chenzen. It didn't occur to me at the moment that if he gets off work at 1, works out at twelve, chances are hes falling asleep pretty quick like. My bad. It would be making life more complicated.

Ok, first things first, all aboard the n00b train. What is IF? And what are some reasons this would work better?

No prob Dano Wink

IF is intermittent fasting, which means a complete waterfast. All the studies about the benefits of fasting are about IF. The WD works great for energy but I don't think undereating will give one the same health benefits as a complete fast. Many people have great results with doing 1 or 2 24 hour fasts a week, you could do that on rest days for example.

I'll definitely take that into consideration. Right now I'm kind of trying to kind of make the best of my situation. I eat an apple or other small fruit at 9am (want to incorporate some protein, maybe Warrior Milk or 1-2 eggs), a handful of carrots around 11am, workout 11:30-12:00, eat can of tuna immediately after, more protein an hour later (would use warrior milk if I had the $), then maybe eat a piece of fruit or berries before work. I have an hour break for dinner at work so I probably could have enough time to eat quite a bit if I prepare it in advance while I'm home.
