Ok, so I broke down and bought a new scale ... I have lost 6 pounds in 6 days!!!  I think that's great ... I am hoping to drop another 9 before Thanksgiving.  The best is that I don't seem to want any junk anymore.  I made homemade pizza and snickerdoodles for my family yesterday.  I did not take one bite and best of all, I did not want a bite.   Grin

I have been on the diet now for 5 days and I can honestly say I feel better than I have felt in a long time.  I have been on every diet, the last one was at a hospital where you eat their food with all the fruit and veggies you want but I felt so bad all the time I finally quit the program. (I did lose 30 pounds though).  I don't have the brain fog near as much, not so tired when I get up in the morning, no stomach or gas problems at all.  I eat fruit and raw veggies through out the day and then have brown rice, beans and 2 eggs for dinner, don't have the eggs every night though.  I made the mexican casserole found on this site last night and it was soooo good.  I only take the estro-x so far and mulit vitamins but order the detox kit and some choclate warrior bars yesterday.

I have 40 pounds to lose, have lost only 4 so far but I am not concerned as I have always lost weight very slowly and since I feel so much better that is what is most important to me.  I think this is a diet I can stick with for the rest of my life.  My husband is not convinced I am doing the right thing but I am sure in time he will see and maybe I can get him on the diet even though he is thin.

Kat, thanks.  Don't be discouraged if your family doesn't jump on board right away.  I even took part in writing the book and my family didn't take it seriously.  Now, finally after a year and a half, they've become believers and are becoming leaner and healthier as a result.  Just live you life before them and shine.  They can't help but be attracted to what they see!

I started the AE diet this past Monday- it is now Wednesday (day before Thanksgiving) and I LOST 5 POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  That is a miracle for me!!!!!!!!!!! And I didn't kill myself exercising either!!!!!!

I know this starts the holiday weekend, we're going to dinner at friends house tonight, out to dinner tomorrow, and again Friday, then to other friends house for dinner on Sat!

I am going to really stick to portion control and choose anything that is healthy and stay away from really bad stuff.  And really keep down the alcohol consumption.

I weighed in on Monday at 147, today I'm 142!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Grin
