Hi everybody...I just want to say thanks to you all who have given me some really great advice on here...I must say, it has been SOOO helpful. I had some doubts about a couple of things, but I think I am headed in the right direction now to be very much successful on this diet. It has only been a little over a week now since I have begun the Warrior Diet and already my clothes are feeling looser...it's amazing! No B.S. and I am 4 pounds lighter on the scale today...I can hardly believe it myself, but it is true. I feel healthier, just knowing I'm eating healthier and best of all, I have this amazing energy that I didn't even think I had in me. LOL, I can actaully keep up with my 3-year old much beter now and actaully found the motivation & time to start exercising just a little after work. I have to say, this diet gives you an amazing feeling of "self-control" and "well-being". It's like the longer you are on this diet, the more addictive it is, to just keep going. I sleep better at night and feel more rested in the morning. I was so and I mean SO used to feeling sluggish & tired ALL of the time. It's hard to believe the changes in such a short period of time, but they're there. The downside, I do get a bit shaky/light-headed at times during the day at work, but I know it's just my body adjusting to this new way of eating. I always try to keep some type of fruit or vegetable at my desk. I have an office job A.K.A. Junk Food Cenral and let me just say the temptation to eat horribly is 24/7 around here.
Well, this is just the beginning, but so far, so good...Thank you again for all of your advice.
Will keep you updated
Candice

I'm too in an office all day and notice most co-workers eat all day!! It's tough walking in the kitchen some days to refill the water bottle with all the food around- and the smells of people's lunch. You're right - the staying in control makes me feel good and stronger. I have the saying "wildcats look their best when they're hungry-so do you" posted at my desk but only where I can see it
- the amazing thing is that some days you're not hungry at all.

Yeah, I have noticed that also. Some days at work the temptation of "bad food" is so great and I am so hungry that I can almost taste the food, just by the smell alone, ya know...Other days I do not want to eat at all...even when it comes time for the "big meal" at night, I just don't feel like eating sometimes. I still do though, just to make sure I don't mess up the cycle and to make sure that I get all of the protein/nutrients I need for energy and of course, to be healthy.
Office jobs make it VERY, VERY hard...LOL, I'll have to post that saying by computer, also.
Thanks!

It's good I'm going into the construction industry. I'll be surrounded by macho men outside on a construction site. But fortunately, I'll be the boss
I used to work a part-time office job doing data entry (I was 14 I think..?). I disliked it, though it wasn't very hard of work for me. Of all the options of careers for me, being outside is a must. That limits the choices, doesn't it?
There are always breaks between work though if you work inside that one could go for a scenic walk outside, or even go to work out at lunch outside..with a personal kettle ball set you lug to work.
What do you do for a living?

i had nearly two weeks of nausea, exhaustion and muscle aches and pains. At the same time, I noticed that I also felt better than ever when the symptoms weren't present. My skin looks amazing, and now that I'm in week three, I feel pretty good and have more energy. I've had allergies for years, so I know all about detox. I had many years to detox out of my system, and at first, it was really difficult to stay with the program. I thought it was dull and boring until I got the actual book, and also read people's comments online. Now I think it's a very sensible and smart way to eat. I can actually see myself on this for life. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired, and now I'm on my way to good health, which is a real blessing. One interesting side note is that I suffered from acid reflux problems for years, and had to lie on the left side of my body when I was trying to sleep. The right side, for some reason, created lots of nausea and acid. Now I can sleep any way I want to, which is wonderful. My temper has also improved markedly, which again is likely a result of getting off foods that my system couldn't handle. Eating more times a day, means I am also eating less, which almost sounds paradoxical, but you all know what I mean! I don't know how much weight I've lost since I don't really track that, but I can say that my jeans are falling down. I'm really glad that I picked up that magazine when I did and found the diet. My daughter who is in great shape wants me to send her the article because she is impressed with the detox aspect. She is also allergic to some foods, so it will help her tremendously. She is studying nutrition for a degree, and thought the plan sounded sensible and good. I was never much of a meat eater so I don't miss that yet. While I like fish, I don't love it, and I'm not a bean fan either! Those quibbles aisde, this plan is amazing.
