And yes i am back...

Around 10 pounds overweight than my WD weight(still normal for my height)i finally decided that conventional eating is not for me.Its not that i feel tired during the day or i dont have energy for my workouts. Its that i really want to lose some weight.

The Warrior Diet is a double edged sword. It can be adapted to your needs if you are willing to give it an honest try.But try going off and you will see some horrible things happening. The worse is this:every meals is gonna feel like an overeating meal. Thus your mind is gonna tell you,hey i am not full, lets eat some more. And you listen to it....And the scale keeps going up and up.And you need a lot of discipline to get back on track. But i dont have it.

So here i am,going to give the Warrior Diet another try.I am still doing capoeira and started some weight lifting.I will post my starting weight tomorrow and i one of my weight routines.I seriously dont know if i must follow a WD or AED protocol but the only thing for sure is that tomorrow, after my post workout meal,i will try to fast!

Nice to see you all again guys  Wink

As usual,we youngsters go out at night and by the time we get back we are already sleeping...Thus i didnt write about yesterday

Weight:88 kg

During the day i drank mostly water and 4 juices.
One with water and the juice of 2 lemons
One with two red grape fruits
One with one red grape fruit and an orange
One with water and the juice of 1 lemon

I was thinking of water fasting the whole day,but when we went out i was somewhat hungry and with my drink i also ate some nuts.Mega mistake.....Alcohol and nuts are such a baaaaaad combo...Later i ate 2 souvlakia(pita bread with beef, onion, tomatoes, potatoes and yogurt) and called it a night

Today i will stay home for the most day,so i might attempt a grapefruit/lemon juice fast. Its gonna be interesting...

One thing i noticed during the day was that i was TIRED.I laid down a little around noon and it took me 90 minutes to get up,since i was feeling really sleepy

Day one finished!

Glad to have you back. You are a huge inspiration to everyone on these forums and most definitely needed here as far as I am concerned.
 Couple inputs:
 1. I just recently started really pounding the water, probably thanks to the influence of ab1 and others, and I feel awesome. Not only that but I noticed I actually crave the stuff now, like a chubby kid craves pop tarts and popcorn chicken for dinner. No joke dude. Everytime you feel spacey, drink water. Then you'll notice your mouth start to feel a little dry, which is a cue that your body wants water. Its hard to explain. Try really gulping it down and see how you feel.
 2. Good luck on your fast today. Remember, hungry wont hurt you. Allow the aggression when it comes and use it for something.

Ok,my weight was down by half kilo after the toilet and thats a good thing Cheesy I know that most of its was water, but who cares Tongue

Water fast for the most of the day
In the morning half lemon juice with water
2 apricots
Juice of one red grape fruit
2 apricots

Main meal
Salad:big cucumber,green bell pepper,avocado,Chinese cabbage,onion with ginger,nutmeg,some goat cheese and olive oil
Protein:4 poached eggs with tomato and onion. One chicken leg and 50g of feta
Fat:handful of almonds,walnuts with some tahini.Around 75 g of peanut butter(yummmmmmmmmmm)

Comments:Oh WD meu amor!I just love overeating! The day was ok,not great.I was feeling a little spaced out but it was not something that i couldnt face...
I just needed something to eat during the day.I have done fasting before and i know when my body needs something else. Thus the apricots and the grape fruit juice. The lemon juice is gonna become a staple since it seems to help with morning "trips"....
Standard overeating meal, only that now with the addition of the bok choy i am entering a new dimension. That stuff is good! Its gonna really help with sandwich making!
I started overeating at 19:00 and stopped at around 21:30.I was not bloated,i felt full and i thought thats enough.I might drink some water as the night goes on but i dont think that i will be eating anything
Tomorrow its gonna be my first workout day after a 3 day break! We are lifting some weights tomorrow!Lets see, what happens...

@Danno3000
Man i know what you are talking about! That feeling of dryness is constant during the day from what i can remember. My lips feel really dry(good thing i dont have a gf hahah)You really think that drinking more water is gonna solve it?I was thinking that with extra water and all the extra pissing i will lose electrolytes and will have some nasty problems. But since you think that it works i have to give it a shot.I guess i can try it tomorrow Wink

At first you might piss a ton because of water being flushed out, but after a day or two it normalizes. I piss no more now than when I did being all dehydrated and grumpy. Dry lips/mouth are definitely your body bein' all like "HAY THIS IS THUUUUUUUUUUUUUURST!"

@Danno3000
Ok man i tried your approach and i will comment on it later. Thanks a bunch  Cool

@Bravo23
Hey man thanks for the kind words! How long have you been following the wd?It works for you?

Today

Water fast the whole day(yahoo, did it!)12 glasses of water until overeating.I might drink some more later perhaps...

Exercise
Warm up with bulgarian split squats, push ups, calves raises and some stretching
A.Squat jumps 5*3 with 30 sec rest
B1.Wide grip lat pulldown 2*20 with 45 sec rest
B2.Dumbbell 13kg jerk 2*20 with 45 sec rest
C1.Romanian db deadlift 2*13kg 2*20 with 45 sec rest
C2.Bulgarian split squat 2*13kg 2*20 with 45 sec rest

Alright lets explain. The A part was done alone,i did the reps and then rest. The B's and C's are a little different.I do one exercise i rest and then i do the other exercise of the same letter until i finish the block. So it was
B1
rest
B2
rest
B1
rest
B2
rest
C1
etc...
Its a good program that rotates between high medium and low reps with different weights. The only problem was the core program after each workout which seemed to be not so functional.I might try to experiment with it a little but the workouts are solid.I have 4 more workout days, and i move to a harder program, with harder variations!

Overeating
Salad:Ok todays salad part was a bit artistic.I took tomatoes, cucumber, onion, avocado, bell pepper and Chinese cabbage and i made the pics that you can see here http://www.defensenutrition.com/forum/index.php/topic,1785.msg11447.html#new
I also made some guacamole(mashed half avocado, tomato, onion, oregano and some olive oil).As i sat in front of my pc ready to eat i thought about utilizing the body of the bok choy.So i took some guacamole and put it on the b.c. leaves.Oh it so nice!Nice idea indeed!I also ate some goat cheese
Protein:6 poached eggs with 50 g feta and a huge cucumber
Fat:handful of almonds, walnuts with tahini and cinnamon.50 g of peanut butter

Comments
Danno3000 was right! It seems that water during the day is really essential, more than what we think!I forced myself to drink it around noon, after getting up from a 15 minutes bed-break and i felt instantly revitalized!I also did many gtg pull ups during the day and i felt really strong!Definitely gonna try it tomorrow!
OK,first time i did a workout after water fasting,in a long time.It felt......OK.Not great.I think it might had to do more with a 6 days break from weight training than with my diet.To the WD defense, during the Squat Jumps i was jumping really high!!!The bulgarian split squat are a killer!Every time i find myself breathing heavily after half reps! Its a killer but i like the effects!
I know, the overeating was the same as yesterdays. There are not many veggies in season here, dad ate most of yesterdays chicken, and i am really broke right now so i cant afford other foods.I hope tomorrow i can persuade my mom to buy something else, fish hopefully,so as not to eat eggs again...I love them, but they get boring after a while...Peanut butter was finished, and tahini is really close too so i am also running out of easy to consume calories...Soaking almonds and walnuts might benefit me,but the taste is not that great...I need macadamias, hazelnuts and flax seeds!Damn i need MONEY!That trip to Brazil is really gonna kill me!
Ok tomorrow starts the real challenge...Flash back one year from now, where my program was something like 23 hours fasting/undereating,capoeira and then home at around midnight to eat as much as i can in a short time frame and go to sleep. This week is gonna be a killer and the weight routines are not gonna help that much.....
Finally some words about my program. After trying many diets i finally got the hand on fuel cycling and i am gonna use it.The plan is to do 5-6 days of high fat(mostly weekdays) and then 1-2 high carbs to reload glycogen.Lets hope it all works out!
Bonne nuit!

Water fast during the day

Overeating
3 apricots
Salad with tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, garlic and some olive oil
Small bowl of green beans and 50g feta
Handful of almonds, walnuts and tahini with cinnamon. Some more tahini
Small piece of goat cheese with 2 cucumbers

Comments
Had a lot of reading to do so i couldnt go to capeira today.Damn hope i can go tomorrow!
First day in the university while water fasting and i am really really pleased! Most of the times the biggest challenge is between 15:00-17:00 where i find myself super lethargic in the class.Today i was awake for the whole lecture!I have to say that i ate a gum before class but i dont think it has that much to do with my energy levels...
Boring meal,i know.I had to go for the 45 minute window today since i had a lot of studying...The green beans are relatively low in carbs so it pretty much was a low carb day!
Tomorrow i will also spend my whole day in the university so its gonna be another test for me.It seems though that Dano3000's advice works!Whenever you feel spaced out/tired drink water! It works a lot!
I hope i can go tomorrow to my capoeira class...PLS PLS PLS
One hour after midnight and i know that i will not fall asleep until 2.....Oh well...

Right on fotakou, glad the water works as well for you as it does for me. I've been meaning to ask you, don't you think that having fruit with a high fat meal would promote fat storage?

For your PWO, try one of the following - I've had good results with both.

1 cup water, 1 cup fruit, 1-2 Tbs coconut oil, 3-4 raw eggs ...
1 cup milk, 2 TBS cocao, 1 cup fruit

I lean towards teh water version due to lack of quality milk,

Lesson of the day.Dont lose training for anyone...I though one friend of me would visit us today when some other friends went out so i decided to dont go to capoeira and go out with them. The guy didnt show up.......OK its gonna take 3 weeks till they see me again...
The workout was good although i have to somewhat adjust the barbell row.The post workout was a bit  too much,on the fruit side....I will limit them next time for sure!
I am starting to retain water and then pee for a minute and more!Thats funny Tongue
