I'm brand new to the AED - so go easy on me for this --

Does this mean black coffee only, or do you put anything in it?

I couldn't find reference to it in the book, only "coffee".

Thanks!

Black organic is probably best, but some organic cream in it is okay with natural sweetner like stevia or maybe a touch of maple syrup initially.

I havnt read the book yet, but I am a bit consurned when you mention coffee and tea, I suffer from stomach cramps and I know being addicted to tea ( very strong tea ) and chocolate makes it wosre. if I ever manage a day without either I always feel alot better, but my cravings are very strong.
one of the reasons I am considering doing either diets warrior or AED ( I have ordered both books) is my tiredness and fatigue and painfull periods. Does coffee play a major part in these programms or will I still see health benefits without.
I was always under the impression that caffeine wasnt very good for the liver.

Helen, coffee and tea in moderation are just a couple of allowed beverages while on the AEDiet.  You DO NOT (and in your case probably should not) have to drink them.  In my opinion, I think that you should go through the detox phase for a couple weeks, then on to phase 2 for a week or so (both phases do not drink coffee/tea), then MAYBE try a small cup of tea or coffee in Phase 3...only if you must have them, and if they have adverse effects then stay away.

I was beginning to wonder if you were an insomniac Helen. LOL.  I've drank a little coffee now and then, but probably not as regular as you would like, so I'm probably  not any help.

Anyone have any thoughts on things like latte's?

My girlfriend and I both really enjoy 8oz latte's from time to time, but the milk seems like it'd be a concern due to the sugar in it?

Any thoughts are much appreciated, as I've searched but can only find comments regarding regular black coffee.

Coffee has played an important role in many societies throughout modern history. In Africa and Yemen, it was used in religious ceremonies. As a result, the Ethiopian Church banned its consumption until the reign of Emperor Menelik II of Ethiopia. It was banned in Ottoman Turkey in the 17th century for political reasons, and was associated with rebellious political activities in Europe. This is one of the important information of coffee.

Interesting, chinki123. What did they use the coffee for during religious ceremonies. In other words, what did coffee consumption mean to those who attended such ceremonies?
