When other ask how you lost weight?

What do you tell them?
Hello everyone I've been doing a version of the Warrior diet for almost 2 months now. I've gotten probably some of the best results from an eating lifestyle that I've ever gotten. I startet "dieting" to get some baby weight off after my son stopped nursing. (he's 20 months old) Before I began the Warrior approach I had lost about 35 or so pounds in about a month in a half, but I felt I was working too hard. I got reults, but not the kind I really wanted. I used to eat one meal a day most of my Highschool/College years and NEVER had a weight problem. So it made sense to me, but it goes against all the conventional wisdom out there about how we should eat.
I started at (210) Feb 6 and am now down to (152 as of May 8th (I'm 5 ft 5) while 152 looks like a high number people who have seen me think I weigh about 116! I genetically have very muscular legs and since muscle weighs more than fat......... I can wear mediums and smalls in the Junior department. More so for the last month I'm losing about 3 to 4 lbs a week! I'm doing Pilates as well. My goal is to get to 120 and maintain it for life.
My question is I don't feel comfortable teling people who are amazed at my results what I'm really doing because all the information out there about this way of eating is heavily negative. I actualy get a kick out of reading the information that talks about what will happen if you eat once a day! You'll gain weight, you'll die etc it won't work. Yet I've been doing it for almost 2 months and none of that is even remotely true. In fact the exact opposite is true. What do you tell others?

I have printed out the first page from one of Ori's articles about the top 10 fallacies of eating and I gave it to people who ask me about how I lost weight. I fold it up and keep it in my wallet. It has the web address on the bottom and people who are interested can find out more about the Warrior Diet.

I tell them I chaned my lifestyle. Then I go into detail about what I do. I explain what actually goes on in the body and why/how this works. They either buy into it or they dont. Either way I'm still the same : ) But results speak for themselves.

ive peppered family and friends with info. links, my own simplified version of beginners intermittent fasting, interval training realities. its a bit like a signature sentence someone has on here, "its easier to change someones religion, than their eating habits" or something like that.
even with my results people tell me its not healthy. maybe if just keep losing they'll take more notice.
i shared a statistic with a friend the other day. some eighty percent of the worlds population live on one meal a day, or one meal every other day. now this is heartbreaking poverty, not a reducing plan, but is goes to show how out of touch with most of the worlds eating patterns industrialized society is. having 140 different breakfast cereals to choose from is a very unique experience. and come to find out, those syrup laced pancake i-hop breakfasts are actaully hurting us, not helping.
makes one pause.

haha, rachel you made me think of something that is soooo true! People just want to jump on you the minute you say you are doing something different because they want to believe what they "know" is true and that what they "try" to do is healthy. They want to believe it is better to have the buttered toast, high fructose orange juice, and "cholesterol reducing" "honey"-did-they-ever-actually-make-that-stuff-with-real-honey? nut "cheer"-ios than to simply have nothing at all. It is so ingrained into our society that it is better for us to go to einsteins bagels for breakfast, jamba juice for a snack, and a bakery for lunch, rather than eat and drink things that resemble real food. (i've yet to see a cold cut that resembles actual turkey meat). Never do we realize we are just playing into the hands of corporate greed rather than truly making our own decisions based on logic and/or trial and error when it comes to our own health. When people believe things to be one way, it makes them very unhappy to have those things challenged.
When people ask about your new diet, ask them how energized they feel, how much bf they feel they should lose, and how often they get sick, and if they are doing great, more power to them. But, the overwhelming majority of people in this nation of ours are not in that boat and need to start seeking out alternatives for themselves, instead of being herded like mammoths off of cliffs. If building muscle, losing fat, clearing arteries, lower bp, and having more energy is unhealthy, then people seriously need to readjust their priorities when it comes to their health. If the methods you take to achieve these things are unconventional, but entirely natural, then that is what they are: unconventional, but natural. Unconventional does not equal unhealthy.

rachel have you got the source for for that statistic??
Venee what happens when i end up telling someone how and why i eat the way i eat, they think i'm crazy, then they forget about it... then some months later they when they ask me if i'm still doing it, they kind of accept it as i still am healthy and have heaps of energy

if you do a seach you can read a bunch of stats. i just ran across the statistic in some forgotten charity site. havent done much reading about it myself, but it seems to be some sort of conflict between the production of biofuels and 80% of worlds poor who subsist on 2$ a day or less. seems thier staples of survival, rice, corn ect, are being drastically upped in price (50%?
) because of biofuel developement. seems to be a new report thats either true and devistatlying sad, or propaganda and being exploited politically. who knows? i do know the over abundance of our culture is in stark contrast to the percieved nutritional needs of third world countries. one article that caught my eye when i did my search said "80% of worlds population eat insects"...it was a upbeat take on the protein value of insects. i didnt find it funny.
and its sad when our culture is bogged down in diabetes, obesity, and heart disease, because of the crispy creme treats we live on. when you look at the marketing that permeates us everyday, it starts to feel circus like, when you learn how bad this stuff is for us. oookkkkaaayyy sorry guys ,,lecture over.
yes usurper, i remember reading "diet for a new america" and spent the better part of ten years thinking if it was fat, and animal protein free, then i could eat alllll i wanted. egads! glad i stumbled across the warrior plan!
