Hello,
I hope this is the right place to post this; I'm very new to the Warrior Diet and would just like to intro myself;
My name is Joanna, in exactly one week I'll turn 50, and I have been struggling with weight gain for the past 10 years (menopause with all the trimmings, stress, insomnia, and such - throw all that in one bag and shake vigorously).
In my 20's I was a pretty consistent size 3 - 5, after having 2 kids and losing some weight.  Managed to always stay 120 - 127lbs until I turned 40, then whole hell broke loose...  I tried pretty much all the "popular" diets, all of which eventually failed me, or I failed them as I just could not stay on most of them - found them too restrictive and felt too deprived and miserable most of the time.  I even had a custom-designed diet specifically for me by a lady bodybuilder (she is quite accomplished), and I stayed on it for about 3 months - dropped from size 14 to 6-8 and was very happy with the results but I found the foodstuff selection to, again, be just too restrictive...  I do lack self-discipline, I guess so I'm not faulting anyone for these failures.
So... being again size 12 - 14, I was totally ready to give up and just "live fat", until I came across the link that pointed to another link that pointed to yet another - the Warrior Diet (yep, I "live" on the web).  I've decided to try this and am hopeful... no weight loss yet but my energy is improving  Cheesy  Wish me luck...

Jedi:

Hello and welcome to the forum. Having read several of your posts, I thought I might make my usual suggestion.

In another thread, you referred to your 'experimenting' with the Warrior Diet. In order to apply, rather than experiment, I would recommend the Warrior Diet Fat Loss Program E-book. This will give you a three-week program to begin the diet's application, as well as define several terms used in The Warrior Diet text that aren't clearly defined. At the conclusion of the three-week program, you can repeat the schedule or 'experiment' correctly, based on your experience.

As an E-book, delivery is almost immediate. Therefore, you can begin its application as soon as your shopping list is complete.

Hopefully, this has been of some assistance.

My best advice is to stay off of the scale!!! Judge by how you feel. I started this three weeks ago and have not gone near a scale in years. I feel so good on this diet, I will not go back to eating several times a day. It never worked for me. I ate once a day all my life, until I hit the gym and a trainer told me to eat many times a day... it does not work for me!!!

My energy s through the roof, I feel alert, and my skin does not have all that retained water under the surface like it used to. My belly has flattened out a lot, and I think I have lost inches. I just do not measure either, since I eat like this for my well being. I feel better then I have since I was in my mid twenties (I am 38), and this is what counts.

If you take sugar and cream in your coffee, stop! I did this a week or so ago, and I am seeing much faster results now. I drink A LOT of organic coffee, but it is black now. You never think of the calories you consume in caffeinated drinks, but they add up, big time.

Yes, I agree about the scale thing; I did check daily for about 2 weeks, dropped from 165 lbs to 158.5 lbs, then everything just stopped.  I continued on the WD but no more wieght loss...  No idea why but here's a kicker: I might actually be glad I am not losing weight. Why?  Got blood work done and my doc said hugely elevated leukocytes; I'm supposed to get another bloodwork done in early April.  So far, she told me not to worry but how can I not if I may be facing leukemia...  I hope not but will not know until April.  Well, one of the major symptoms is weight loss, a lot of it, so I am kind of glad I am not losing any right now.  I've read pretty much all there is to read about various leukemias and one thing I have to give up is coffee.  Well, I'm cutting down but I'm not sure I can just drop it.  I'm also not sure if I can still continue the diet; for now I am still on it but have some small "snacks" (usually an apple, or DanActive) once or twice a day when I feel just too hungry to go on.  I'm also pretty sure my doc will give me hell for doing this diet so I have not told her - you know how doctors are, most of them will advocate many small meals throughout the day and I just really don't want to go back to that.  Trying to stay positive about things though  Undecided

What a nightmare. How can you not worry, especially waiting until April. I would want blood work done ever week or two to see what is going on. Can you go to a different doctor? When dealing with things like this, you need to know more then just waiting a few months!!! I think this diet will still be beneficial for you, since it is detoxing your system. This way your lymphatic system won't be taxed as much.

Please stay in touch and let me know how you are doing.

Hello everyone...

I am three weeks in.. and committed to a lifetime.  I do like not eating more than once a day.  I do need some feedback though.  First where do I get the book someone suggested in a previous post.. something to get you started on eating right.  The other thing is that I am not a moody person but have noticed that my moods are low in the past two weeks... and lastly, I  weight about 131 when I started 3 weeks ago.. I am about 129 now.. seems like with all that cutting back I should have had more loss...what's up with that.. I feel like I'm doing something wrong.  I am eating almonds during the day when I get hungry.. just about 10 or 15 of them... that's okay right???
Thanks for all the information you can provide to help me be successful!!

Hello and Welcome!
I've been on WD for about 2 months now; was about 164.5 lbs when I started and now I'm "stuck" ay 158.  Well, it's still a fat loss however small, so I'm not too disappointed.  My mood was good when I started the diet, then went really low for a while but now I'm back, and it's actually really, really good (despite the usual, severe back pain that would usually ruin the day for me before).
Perhaps you just need to be patient with the mood thing.  I'm not sure if there is an actual connection (someone told me there is but I have to test this myself) - I've been snacking not only on almonds but also taking Omega 3-6-9 religiously, every day 3 capsules in the morning and 3 in the afternoon.  That plus 1000 mg of vitamin D.  I've noticed a difference in my mood after about 1 month of that so I'm keeping with it.  I also like eating once a day, as I used to as a teenager and early 20s anyway. Although I do feel very hungry once in a while, I grab an apple or some almonds, or a banana, and that works for me.  I also have agood protein shake (no milk, just water) once a day, 1 scoop with a glass of water... not too delicious but it also helps me with energy level which, for the past 2 weeks has been really good too.  I also do a 30 min walk daily (just started on that 4 days ago) and like it a lot.

Good luck with your diet.  Stick to it for a while and see if your energy level increases.  Post your progress for us, too!   Cool
