hi, there are probably several angles you could take. i bet the home office would have some ideas. off the top of my head i would say i am having really good results with home brewed kefir each day. its an aquired taste, but it helps to coat the intestinal walls with good fermenting bacteria instead of putricifying bacteria and creates a much more healthy and effective environment for the bowel.  i bought my grains off the internet (mailed). but it can be a little daunting to embark on a daily regime of taking care of the grains. they need fresh milk every 24hrs.  google "doms kefir insight" and youll get a website that is loaded with health benefits.  or even google diverticulitis with kefir testimonials. i couldn't do it justice in a little post about how helpful its been to some who suffer with intestinal issues. good luck!!
