The pill is mentioned a few times on the board.  I should say first that I am a man and I have not read the AE book.  I have read and followed the WD for a little over a year.  My girlfriend said she might be up for following the WD or the AE when we move in togather in a few monthes.  She has wanted to get off hormons (ie-ring, pill, etc...) for a while.  I am all for her not putting poison in her body and her being healthy.  There seem to be NO herbal birth CONTROLL methods specifficaly for her. What do the AE ladies think about the hormones?  Does ORI address birth control and hormon manipulation marketed to women and there cycle in the AE book?

He does briefly touch on the subject, but there are no natural alternatives to hormones; and hormone manipulation is something that Ori wouldn't support. I'm sure you're old enough to know that there are several other alternatives to the pill that don't cause negative side efffects from a drug;..... I can think of four myself. Smiley

I agree that Birth Control Pill is highly toxic to women.

I was on it at a time in my life and it helped alleviate some issues i had but never stabilized and when i changed brands etc... my body was never stable and i gained weight, etc...  i never used it as a form of Birth Control.  This crap is promoted among young women and the other detriment is that there is even a Pill that helps where a woman doesnt even have her cycle.  When Ori talks about how we are showing signs of an extinct species, all this scientific playing around with hormones etc... is so true in how it is damaging our fertility health.

I have a friend who was on it for 10 years straight  Shocked  and we still do not know to this day scientifically on how the BCP affects our fertile health after coming off of it after a long period of time.

The best birth control is abstinence or use a condom.
If she is using it for BC I have heard that spermicides may be helpful as well but as we all know.... they are not always 100% effective.

In my research on natural products, Neem Oil is a stinky oil that comes from India (they use it as a skin and hair care product) and i have read that Indian women have used it for a natural spermicide.

An idea is as a couple....you could you both go to learn about natural family planning and so she can learn more about her menstrual cycle and ovulation and times of when she is most fertile and least fertile.  i dont think this is 100% either...but it helps to know.

if the goal is to avoid pregnancy and maintain a happy sex life, you'll both have to make some compromises as a couple, even if it means not letting the boys go swimming in the pool  Lips Sealed
