Congratulations on your start of a new way of eating!
It is great to meet you! I think it is really smart to break
your goal up into smaller goals. I have done the same thing.
My goals are in five 50 pound chunks.
I got off track a little bit, because I ended up in the hospital
for a week, with a really bad staph infection that had gone into
my blood. I almost died from it, and they had to work for several
days to save my left leg... but, PRAISE GOD!... I am alive and I have
both legs. Anyway, I was in the hospital for a week, and then I was
totally drained for at least a month after leaving the hospital. Any sort
of activity zapped all my strength... However, I am pleased to say that
I am back to almost feeling good now. I gained some weight in the
first couple weeks after coming home from the hospital, but I am still
down 52 pounds from where I started and have been back on this
way of eating for the past couple of weeks. My husband is home,
and we have been going out to eat more (which is hard) but he plans
to start his diet on Monday, so I am really going to work hard at this
(starting Monday) and work on my 2nd chunk of 50 pounds! I have much
further to go than you do...but, I believe all things are possible, If I
put my faith and trust in God. He is my hope and my strength.
The first week on the diet is the hardest... so don't give up! You can do it.
Once you get through the first week, it gets easier and you don't crave
carbs as much. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
