when we use nuts as our high fat fuel/days as our main meal, does it matter if we use one type of nut or can we use a handful of several different types?

I have been eating mixed handfuls of nuts since i started the wd.For example yesterday i ate 2 handfuls of almonds, one of walnuts,200g of pistachios and i put around a handful of sunflower seeds in my salad.Since i am feeling fine i guess that its not that bad to aim for variety Wink

I'd be interested to know more about this, too. I've just started eating nuts as my main fuel food 3-4 days a week. I love eating almonds by themselves, but the best I can find are lightly toasted and not completely raw. The only raw nuts I can get are walnuts, but eating a 120g bag of these is quite a challenge, even spaced over a couple of hours. Maybe if I mix them I can get the best of both worlds, but don't know if it's a good idea Huh.

I am trying to follow the e-book WD Fat Loss guidelines.  In that book, Ori suggests eating 1-3 handfuls of nuts on hi-fat days along with 4-6 ounces of protein like chicken, eggs, fish, etc.  He also suggests trying different nuts on different days, i.e. almonds on one day, pecans another, walnuts or pistachios.  This all is kept in context to the normal overeating phase of salad, veggies, protein, NUTS!.
Ori suggests that almonds are more easily digested by the body, but we should each try different nuts to see which ones suit our body more.

this was somewhat covered before here:
http://www.defensenutrition.com/forum/index.php/topic,203.0.html

it basically says try one nut at a time to see how your body handles it and mix em up if you feel fine doing so
