The perfect fighter

Okay so there's a new fight club round here, i'm not a fighter, truth be told i've never been in a fight that has put me in any real danger. it's all talk around here.
This place is expensive, i tend to save what i can, so i'm not gonna go there often if at all.
but i want to become a proficient fighter so i can go toe to toe with the brazilian jiu jitzu guys i don't like having to accept that i could be outdone. i mean generally i don't care, like people that do somethign religiously will be better but fighting seems sacred like every real character should be able to protect himself. *shrugs* you all know how it is lol
now i'm strong, fast, agile and reasonably skilled at punching kicking etc but i'm nothing special. i'd like to see what i can do.
what do you all think of this as a conditioning base.
Grease the groove: heavy deads 5r x 2s
heavy squats 5r x 2s
heavy presses 5r x 2r
I'm getting this from 'power to the people' - pavel tsatsouline' to develop ability to use tension which ultimately determines how much strength we can use. i chose the 2 sets for developing bulk free strength.
Main workout:
punchdummy/punchbag, 5 minutes constant aggression, improvising fighting techniques.
burpee pyramids
sparring/grappling rounds with partner
core cycle (plankvariations, supermans etc)
and running sporadically throughout the week ( no more than 400m)
i've never really lifted 'heavy weights' like major poundages but i think it would be very beneficial for developing tension.
what do you all think?
anybody have any experience with mma etc?
anything you think i could add?
i can't do this yet for lack of weight available but i'd like to form some ideas.

Lol bro i feel you!Even though the style of capoeira i train is not fighting oriented,i want to be able to go and kick the ass of some guys(mainly guys that behave badly to dogs, since we have this kind of problems around here)One pretty sick combination,in terms of speed would be to do some shadow boxing tabatas! You will be forced to throw quick punches and you must not lose form!If you can find a heavy bag(or even make one, since you made your sandbag)that would be nice
Finally, for defense,i have read a book of Charles Atlas where he was saying that you can start throwing some puches on your abs,in order to make them more resistant to punches. You have better do this, after overeating loool

hahahah great humor i just was ironically asked this exact question with a fellow who had never seen me eat yesterday...His direct quotes "ever been slammed in the stomach after chowing?" I couldnt help but laugh
and reply "never thought of it
.... and never dreamed of such wildness"

yeahh i have a punch dummy, one of the expensive ones, cept i got it pretty cheap
good thing too. it is decapitated and has a split through the chest lol
i'm not sure if a heavy bag would be more challenging? the base of this thing is fill with water it is a bastard to move. i think the resistance is probably less than a heavy bag.
i like some of the groundwork i see, i don't think it can be taught, i think it is developed form experience and appliication, so i might get a mate to spar/roll.
and yeah i read that too, except from another source. it's meant ti increase the capacity to tense up. lol it would be like digs. lol anyone play that at school?

Yo wolf, I'll join your militia. I don't have any experience with a MMA background, but I've got about 12 years of combined collegiate and proffessional wrestling background, so maybe I could help.
I will say that I've seen boxers, kickboxers, taekwondo, karate, gung-fu etc. get their asses kicked very easily; and maybe I'm partial, but when it comes to a fight it all comes down to how you can manage on the ground, because that's how 90% of unplanned/non-sanctioned fights end up.
I have just one question: if we join you're army who'll we be fighting? lol!

yeahh, i actually reckon that generally speaking, the most mentally deranged person tends to win in fights lol.
like i got a mate called james, tiny bloke not particularly strong or muscular, and no-one messes with him cause he's a bit mental in fights lol there are a lot of evil things you could do in a real fight, most people wouldn't even think of using them.
lol uhmm we're one of those dignified, peaceful armies that suddenly becomes the elite when millions of persians descend apon us lmao, you've seen it
we have shields and spears and an automatic 50. browning for if we get attacked while we're feasting
:P

I am a boxer and dabble a bit with mma. from my standpoint i can say lifting heavy weights wont do much to make you a better fighter, it will just make you bigger. As far as your conditioning there is a dvd workout by bas rutten (former ufc and pancrase champion) that might help. I did it after being challenged by a friend. it is basically a circuit involving a lot of bodyweight stuff with shadowboxing.
http://www.basrutten.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=B&Product_Code=WCDVD&Category_Code=DV
Being a striker, i couldnt agree with mrmojorisin more, unless the first 1 or 2 strikes connect the fight is goin to the ground.
