Both are good. Leafy green are better raw.  Cruciferous - like broccoli, cauliflower, and brussel sprouts are much better for you if they're steamed well in order to release the essential nutrients.

In the past whenver i ate raw brocolli i got sever stomach aches, not to mention diahrea. Steamed or boiled veg seems to kill any possilbe toxins contained in the veg.

Very true and it will also cut down on all that gassiness and bloating.  Try cooking your crucifers in a pressure cooker.  It's quick, easy and tastes great, in my estimation.
