The Anti-Estrogenic Diet / Q and A / will the ae diet help me lose weight even if i have an underlying health problem

I want to try the AE diet but I am not sure if it will work for me. I have ITP which means that my body destroys my plateletts. I take prednisone and also have high blood presure. My hemotologist told me that I can not lose weight until I start taking only 5mg of prednisone. I am getting ready to start taking another medicine plus my prednisone to help my condition. I have been on prednisone going on 2 years and I have gained so much weight.
I just graduated from college and I only have a temporary job. I am paying medical bills also so, I dont have money to spend. However, I am so depressed and feel like my life is yet to begin. My screen name should have been depressed in Illinois. I am praying for a miracle to happen for me. My self esteem is shot and I feel bad. I need help or I feel that my life will not improve.
My reality is that I am now obese and I am sad. This is my reality. I know there are people worse off then me. I dont want to complain. I do however need help
