Wolf is quite right. And comanightrain is right, too: The WD is about a natural way of living. It's not about enormous amounts of useless muscle mass, it's about a strong, powerful and athletic physique and a crystal clear mind. But that doesn't mean you can't build any muscle mass on the WD. Just go sure you consume enough food (and by enough I mean the amount your body tells you to eat) and train hard and focussed on the basic exercises. As long as you train hard, eat well (select your food and enjoy it as much as possible) and get enough rest you'll at least be able to reach a natural, healthy and impressing physique. Maybe you won't get as "big" as many bodybuilders do, but in my eyes it's not necessary to like that.
2  Warrior Diet / Q and A / Re: How bad is it to eat lots of meat? on: July 23, 2009, 02:18:34 AM
If you eat selected, organic meats and if you don't consume them in raw amounts you should be doing well. Remember: meats were what made our ape-like ancestors brains grow the most. We started as scavengers, we became hunters and now must of us are scavengers again. But eating good, fresh meat in the right amounts will give your body some feeling of raw life. At least I believe so.
3  Warrior Diet / Q and A / Water Fasting: Bad or just not recommended? on: July 23, 2009, 02:15:07 AM
First of all, greetings to everybody here! I'm doing the Warrior Diet for three weeks now and I'm noticing interesting changes concerning my daily constitution/my mood in general and my physique. Although it doesn't seem as if I've lost too much weight, some bones and muscles of my body have become much more visible and tighter. On top of that, people tell me I look quite refreshed and powerful since I'm following the Warrior's way of life. But now to my question:

On many days I am doing a water fast, that means I'm just drinking water, herbal teas and selected, organic coffee. On some days I might have an apple or two, but nothing more. On workout days, I work out mostly in the late afternoon (at around 4 p.m.) and have a good protein shake and a banana thereafter. But I don't eat anything before, because working out on an empty stomach in some way forces me to dedicate all my mental and physical power to the workout. In the evening, I have a really huge dinner, containing salad, fish/meat/eggs and whole grains, beans or other "powerful" foods. If I'm still hungry thereafter, I eat 1-2 bowls of oatmeal (~ 250 gr) with fresh kefir and lots of yoghurt and other light dishes. I don't consume any refined sugar, even syrup or honey is something I rarely have for dinner because I feel it doesn't really nourish my body.

My question is: I read a lot of posts since now, and many people write that you should not water fast while others tell they're waterfasting the whole day, 7 days a week and they are well. Ori writes you should eat some fresh fruits/veggies, drink juices and eat protein- but what is undereating really about? I find it's all a little bit confusing. I'm following my own rhythm at the moment, and I'm doing well. But I'd like to see what others think about it.
