1  The Anti-Estrogenic Diet / Q and A / Re: Gaining Muscle on WD on: April 22, 2009, 11:21:53 AM
This is very interesting, because even after a day or so I can tell me frame is a little less bulky than before.  I didn't have a problem with strength; in fact my workouts were more aggressive because I was determined to throw the weight around so I could get to that big meal Smiley.  Any other comments on this would be great.  I'd certainly be willing to go through a 'streamlining' phase where I lost some mass as long as it was going to lead to better gains.

Also, I read a post of Mike Mahler's which indicated that a good WD protocol for someone interested in muscle mass would be a protein shake in the morning, afternoon, and after your workout and then the big meal at night.  Also I assume any fruits and veggies could be thrown in there as well.  Any thoughts?
2  The Anti-Estrogenic Diet / Q and A / Gaining Muscle on WD on: April 22, 2009, 09:11:44 AM
I realize this is a topic that is addressed in Ori's book, and I see there have been some discussions on the forum as well, but I didn't see anything that answered my specific question conclusively.  I'm an average size guy (around 6 feet, between 170 and 180 pounds), and I wouldn't mind putting on a couple of extra pounds of muscle.  Getting power lifter huge isn't a priority; I'd just like to fill out my shoulders, get a muscular chest and back, and add some size to my arms.  Is the WD a good way to achieve this?

I've read where Ori discusses creating an anabolic environment using the WD, but I've also seen a lot of discussions in which people say for size the WD isn't the best choice.  Does anyone have thoughts on this?
3  Warrior Diet / Q and A / Sex Drive Question on: April 06, 2009, 10:49:20 AM
I'm very interested in trying either the WD or the AED, but I'm really concerned about these libido issues I've seen discussed.

When I tried the WD last year, I enjoyed a lot of the effects, but it got so that I felt like I was wasting away during the day. I'm 21 and have a pretty active metabolism (it seems to me), so hunger was a huge issue.  Then I read this stuff about libido problems, and I'm not sure if I just psyched myself out or if I was actually experiencing them myself.  The combination of feelings of atrophy and worrying about my sex drive led me to abandon the diet.

Now I'm interested in some kind of diet that will help me to be lean and muscular, and also help balance out the hormonal issues that come from an estrogen environment. I'm considering looking into the AED, but the WD is still intriguing to me. Have the libido issues been worked out, or is the WD maybe just not for everyone?  I understand that feelings of hunger are normal in the beginning, but I really tried to stick it out for a couple of weeks and still felt like muscles were wasting away during the day.

Also,  would the AED a good option to look into based on my goals?  I'm an active kettlebeller who's interested in some muscular gain, balancing the hormones, and keeping the sex drive as high as possible.

Thank you for your replies.
