Can the WD be harmful in adrenal fatigue? Or can it be beneficial? I have searched and searched but can't find an answer to this question. What are your experiences? Thanks!

Fasting releases more cortisol, in your case, regular, high quality paleo-style meals would be better. You can still have your biggest meal at night but don't do extreme undereating till you get better. Also, don't go crazy with training but I guess you know that already Wink

Thanks ChenZhen, yes that makes sense. I sort of figured that WD style could be harmful in the short run, but thought that may be after the initial phase when one gets adapted it could may be be beneficial and healing. When glycogen stores are increased after a while, you would think that there is not much need for cortisol as long as glycogen stores will get you through the day.

If this is something that you are willing to make a run to the book store for there is a book recommended by Paul Chek called Adrenal Fatigue by James L. Wilson. I hope this helps.

I find that after slacking on the whole eating thing at night, there is no possible way I can calm down or relax without getting in more food, whether that be during the day or otherwise. It's not a good kind of uppity, its the nervous wreck, about to punch the wall, haven't slept in 5 days kind. Once I get enough calories, ~500 of where I should be (usually on the lesser side), I begin to feel fine again.
If you do choose to start this diet, understand that we are asking alot of our bodies to revert back into the rythm of survival. During the day, your adrenals will be what will keep you going. If you dont take care of them, and yourself, at night with proper nutrition you WILL feel it and you will more than likely decry the warrior diet as gimmicky s***.
But if do it in right (right being defined as "in a healthy way that works for you"), you will reap more benefits than just a better body. I noticed, in general, I am a lot calmer, more alert, less antsy and worn out. Adrenal fatigue is a pretty vague unscientific diagnosis in the first place, but to feel like you just drank a pot of coffee seven hours ago every hour of the day is my experience. Following the warrior diet, that went away.
