Does anyone know what Ori has been up to? Does he have any plans for any new releases in the near future? At times on his radio show there were mentions made of a book in the works and such. I personally think it would still be nice if that C.F.T. dvd were ever made available!

It just seems that for a while there was a lot going on with Ori and the Warrior Diet and C.F.T. Then everything kinda got quiet. I hope things are going well for him. And I hope we hear something from him soon!

That would be cool. I'd love to see another book from him, personally. I think the biggest thing thats happened here in a while is peanut butter flavored protein.....

@Dano: haha, yeah! The biggest change I noticed that on every whey order the color of the scoops changes Wink I think I've had blue, black, white, transparent and now green Wink

But on a serious note, it's kinda sad. I really liked that radio show and a new book on nutrition would rock! For me, it would be especially interesting if Ori has changed his view on grains, as the evidence against them seems to be getting stronger and stronger.

His blog is dead too...

Hopefully there is still a hidden modereator that reads this thread and can update us Wink

I really liked Ori's radio show. I looked forward to it every Wednesday!

But yeah, it would cool if he picked up his blog again or something. If my memory serves me right (Iron Chef was the jam!) Ori said he was working on a book about Spartan life. I think that would likely be a good read, coming from Ori.

What do you feel his opinion on grains was? Because for the most part, I feel he was always largely in favor of fat fuel foods and their benefits.

No offense to the people here but this forum/site is the most pathetic I have been on. Dont get me wrong, Ori got me started on the whole IF way of eating but its like him and his "team"/mods dont really care about the guys/gals that pay their bills. I have never seen Ori post anything here and the mods only once in a blue moon. Like come on, even a quick "hi" from Ori would be cool. Every other forum I have been on, the top dogs usually reply, sometimes just a quick reply but a reply none the less, so dont give me any of  the Ori is busy bs (I have even had the top guys email me personally) Lately I have been following the LeanGains way of IF by Martin Berkhan, he has a very active blog, will answer your questions and is working on a book (hopefully due out soon). I know some people who have been banned from here for voicing their opinions strongly and promoting themselves but really what do you expect when we are told buy this and this and then left to fend for ourselves. I use to frequent here, but have found it quite dead and uneventful so I only stop by once and awhile to "check up". Thats my opinion and I think it is that of alot of people, so come on Ori stop by and say hi or lend a helping hand to your followers. ps I have three of his books so I consider myself a paying customer.

I thought it was funny how I got an email at the turn of the year advertising a "Thriving online community" or some such nonsense.
Maybe Ori isn't doing WD anymore? Ooooooh snaps I said it  Lips Sealed
To be fair, I still do fast, but rarely in the wd format anymore. It just got to a point where living with the one meal a day regimen was too stressful. Oh no I ate too much tonight, I couldn't help myself, gotta burn it off tomorrow! I cant do that anymore. Didn't help my biking, didn't help my sociability. I make others laugh more when I am not hungry, I train better and ride faster as well. That and its fun.

@Hunter & Dano:

Great posts, agree 100% Wink

@nights:

Yep, he definitely seems to prefer fat fuel but also recommended various types of grains, which seem to be highly inflammatory, allergenic and contain phytates and lectins.

Also, I don't think that almonds (or nuts in general) are that good as the primary fat fuel, they are hard to digest (if not prepared properly) and have a very bad Omega 3 : 6 ratio.

My wife and I were curious about something too. In the WD book Ori says not to eat anything in plastic, well how does his supplements come then? If you guys like IF'ing, you should look into Martin Berkhans "LeanGains" approach, he isnt as strict (a little longer feeding period and not just one meal), has different phases if you want (maint., bulking, cutting), he doesnt look sickly, and he will answer questions.

Yep, at least the protein comes in plastic containers. Personally, I don't drink out of plastic bottles, but don't worry too much about other stuff as it is nearly impossible to completely avoid it nowadays. IMO the worrying is worse for you health Wink More over, I think that the xeno-estrogens will interact more with fluids than dry powder or capsules.

 Yeah Chen, its been proven that being in a stressed state (any state that is an offshoot of fear, including anger and sadness) disables our genes ability to accept electricity (on switch) in our DNA.
I've always wondered how that would apply to excessive fasting, obviously something that is extremely stressful and can make you go a little cooky.

Looking at it from a purely business perspective; How would you treat the forum for your business? It really serves as a complicated advertisement, letting higher ups answer questions in ways that make sense and showing new comers how nice and friendly the people who use whatever it is you're selling are. I would have stopped looking at this forum, and thus stopped trying to get the WD down if every post I saw was unanswered by the man himself, the someone who works for him, etc. It's just us here.
It's still fun to talk about it. I still think there's something oddly romantic about one meal a day, and romance strikes a chord with me. Fasting is great, woohoo, but it's not YOU, its you while you are fasting. And I sure as **** am tired of feeling so stupid and serious all the time for such a selfish reason as "my body".
You want the whole anthropology primal man slant to it? In the bible, Jesus said not to fast too damn much. Fasting too much is the equivelant of building a tower to heaven; Both get you closer to jesus, but you can't be with jesus. Something like that, I'm not Christian. Can you tell?  Tongue
It's still fun to shoot the **** with other crazies who would actually try something like fasting though. I think if anything, fasting is a personality marker that indicates a strong, stable person that doesn't take things in life or death. I think we all have that, its easy to respect.
I'd like to see studies, outside of the awesome marshmallow study quoted on that leangains site, about how fasting affects your personality in the long run, and what it takes from a person. It's good for your body if you eat healthy foods, great, we know. What about subjective measures such as a stand up comics ability to make a crowd laugh after 20 hours of fasting? Or engaging in an emotional conversation with a girl after 23 hours of fasting, The ability to put up with mild annoyances without FREAKING THE **** OUT after 23:30 of fasting,all vs. when we are fed. It would be interesting.
I think the WD could be used very well in tests involving the genetic expression of eating disorders. ED genes are allowed to thrive in an underfed state, and I hear its voice every time I follow this strictly. I think it could be a great tool for determining potential difficulties in early teenagers and such, because it would very easy to see mood changes after the big meal, throughout the morning, and through the day until the next big meal.
